Grilled Cheese
Grilled cheese refers to a popular sandwich made by grilling or toasting bread that is filled with cheese, typically until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted. The sandwich is usually made with two slices of bread (often white or whole wheat) and a variety of cheese options, the most common being American cheese, but cheddar, Swiss, and other varieties can also be used. Grilling can be done using a skillet, frying pan, or griddle, often with butter spread on the outside of the bread to achieve a golden-brown crust. Grilled cheese is celebrated for its comforting and satisfying qualities, making it a staple in many cultures, particularly in the United States. It can be served on its own or accompanied by soups, such as tomato soup, and is often enjoyed as a quick meal, snack, or comfort food.
